Carmarthen Foodbank is one of over 1,200 Trussell Foodbanks across the UK, and there are several hundred independent foodbanks besides. The five year strategic aim of the Trussell Trust is to work towards alleviating the need for foodbanks entirely, by addressing the causes of food poverty. Here in Carmarthen we are committed to working with Trussell to achieve this goal locally. In the meantime, we remain fully committed to providing emergency food parcels for individuals and families in crisis, and we will do so for as long as it remains a need.
As we continue to provide emergency food our Money Advice service in partnerships with other agencies tackle the issues that cause people to require the services of a foodbank. We are inviting you to consider supporting us by becoming a local supporter of Carmarthen Foodbank and Money Advice, by committing to a regular monthly donation, enabling us to broaden the scope of our work with disadvantaged families.
