Carmarthen Foodbank is proud to support the Jojo Maman Bébé ‘From a Mother to Another’ scheme which sees parents who have had to use the foodbank receive a package of good quality, second hand baby/children’s clothes donated by other mothers across the country.
Children’s retailer, Jojo Maman Bébé, set the scheme up as a way of helping mothers and parents who may be experiencing difficult personal situations thus turning to foodbanks to help feed their families. More often than not these families cannot afford to clothe their children suitably so a package of age and season appropiate clothes donated by other parents are being given away from participating Foodbanks and organisations across the UK.
It has been a great success in Carmarthen and something that the foodbank will now carry on using items of clothing donated into the Community Shop. If you wish to donate clothes for this cause then please pop down to Xcel Community Shop situated on the same site as Xcel Bowl.
